Alisha: This is Must-Know Urdu Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 24. In this lesson, you'll learn expressions to use when something bad happens.
Alisha: These expressions are useful for describing a bad experience or a disappointing event to your friends.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Alisha: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Syed: دو نمبر
(do number)
Syed: للو پنجو
(lalo punjo)
Syed: بکواس
(bakwas)
Syed: دُر فٹے منہ
(dur fitay muu)
Alisha: Syed, what's our first expression?
Syed: دو نمبر
(do number)
Alisha: literally meaning "two numbers." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "fake, copy, fraud."
Syed: [SLOW] دو نمبر [NORMAL] دو نمبر
Alisha: Listeners, please repeat.

Alisha: Use this slang expression when you see any person, object, or action that is fake, copied, or a fraud.
Be careful when you call a person this, especially women, they will be offended.

Alisha: Okay, what's the next expression?
Syed: للو پنجو

Alisha: It means "low, contemptible, cheap."
Syed: [SLOW] للو پنجو [NORMAL] للو پنجو

Alisha: Use this slang expression when you see a person who is of low standard or cheap. This word is used for a person who is not capable or suitable.
Be careful while using this word in front of anyone, because everybody feels offended when they are called this.

Alisha: Okay, what's our next expression?
Syed: بکواس
(bakwas)
Alisha: literally meaning "nonsense." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "rubbish, nonsense."
Syed: [SLOW] بکواس [NORMAL] بکواس
Alisha: Listeners, please repeat.

Alisha: Use this slang expression when you want to say something is rubbish or nonsense. It is also used when you do not like something. You can also use it for referring to a stupid conversation.
Be careful when you use this word in front of elders and respected people, it is kind of an insult.

Alisha: It means "shame on you."

Alisha: Use this slang expression when someone does something silly or stupid. It is a curse word so be careful while using this word in front of anyone, as they will feel offended.
