Alisha: Here's the formal way to ask 'Do you speak English?' in Urdu.
Syed: [Normal] کیا آپ انگلش بولتے ہیں؟ (Kia aap English boltay hain?)
Alisha: First is a phrase meaning 'do you'
Syed: [Normal] کیا آپ [Slow] کیا آپ (kia aap)
Alisha: Next is the word meaning 'English'
Syed: [Normal] انگلش [Slow] انگلش (english)
Alisha: Last is the phrase meaning 'speak'
Syed: [Normal] بولتے ہیں [Slow] بولتے ہیں (boltay hain)
Alisha: Note the rising intonation. Listen again to the formal question meaning 'Do you speak English?'
